Hinternoosa's Eumundi sun farm is a 30kw PV system situated high in the Noosa hinterland on Queenslands Sunshine Coast.
Our goal commissioning this solar farm was to reduce our carbon footprint. It’s our view that the solar farm will provide enough energy for 15 homes and that, together with our farm forestry plantation, will reduce the carbon footprint of our business and our employees to below zero.
As hinternoosa.com.au is a specialist marketer of homes for sale on small acreage and acreage land in the area surrounding Cooory, Mt Cooroy and Eumindi areas, most of our buyers and sellers are looking to live the Noosa hinterland 'green dream'
Most people looking to purchase real estate in the Noosa hinterland want to also do their bit to contribute to reducing energy usage and emissions. This makes buying real estate in the locations of Cooran, Black Mountain, Eumundi and across to Tinbeerwah very desirable. Real estate in the whole of the Noosa Valley benefits from switching to solar energy as it creates a clean environment for everyone who has invested in hinterland property.

Federal: The government announced a phased reduction in the renewable energy certificate (REC) multiplier payment, which has been cut to three times the value of the REC. It will be reduced further and phased out by 2014.
A big uptake of solar panels has led to a huge cut in the cost of RECs, with the spot dropping from $38 to $17 in months, further reducing the federal contribution.
